QR Code Marketing and Advertising

QR Codes

The QR code was created in 1994 by Japanese corporation Denso-Wave and the technology is open-source. It is traditionally defined as a two-dimensional code, readable by QR scanners, mobiles phones with camera, and smartphones. The code in its raw state consists of black modules arranged in a square pattern on white background. Over at Mix Media Solutions LLC we throw the definition out the window and push QR codes to their limits with customization. As a marketing firm specializing in social media we are constantly trailblazing and finding new technology to implement for our clients. QR codes are just the next in line of creative ideas that we have put our spin on. By modifying the standard QR code with color, logos, and rotation of the mark itself we bring it to life and make it a self-sustaining piece of identity collateral. All codes are tested thoroughly because of the extensive customization as they need to function on a consistent basis. There are currently 15 different pieces of information that can be encoded ranging from a browsing to a website such as a Facebook FBML page to a Google map to calling a phone number. Business cards are the first natural fit for use. Space is limited on a card and comes at a premium. The possibility of being able to have the viewer scan a code and browse to a webpage with further information is priceless. This code in its various formats can be placed anywhere you need an intriguing call to action. The attached graphic shows just some of the possibilities. With Mix you are not only breaking ground with new technology, you stand out from the crowd while doing it.
